Development Process
Developed as part of the HomeTeam GameDev community, Comet Kicker was created using Unity and C#. The game focuses on delivering a polished, enjoyable experience with straightforward mechanics that are easy to learn but difficult to master.
My contributions to Comet Kicker introduces several key gameplay and technical improvements that enhance both the visual appeal and overall performance. A new color selection system adds visual variety, while several critical bug fixes address issues with high score tracking and device compatibility. The game now features optimized physics that properly adapt to high refresh rate displays, and gameplay balance has been refined through adjustments to spawn timers, collectible duration, and spawn frequency. These changes collectively deliver a more consistent and satisfying player experience across all devices, with smoother movement mechanics that maintain the game's fast-paced, arcade-style action while eliminating previous technical limitations.
